CRITICS RAVE ABOUT THE DEFENDERS!!! "Witty, disciplined
and gorgeous to look at, "The Defenders," now at [Inside] the Ford,
deserves a smart audience and long run"
LATIMES CRITICS CHOICE!!

"Fretté's
hilariously choreographed battles — from girl-on-girl torture to the
carefully aimed blow dart — are fantastic from concept to execution
by this skilled and committed cast.... In a dangerous world, thank
goodness this crew is on our side." BACKSTAGE WEST
While you are safely sleeping and tucked inside your cozy bed, there are defenders of the public good who tirelessly fight on your behalf. You will never know who they are, or what they have done for you, or how close the world has come to oblivion.
Zoo District, together with writer/director Brian Frette’ is proud to present the world premiere of The Defenders.
A gleeful take on the great spy shows of the Sixties. The Defenders brings bioterrorism and counterintelligence to the stage as well as hand-to-hand combat in the form of thinly-disguised tangos, slow-motion ballet, interrogations, and real-time Ninja mayhem.
Terrorism meets is
match in the guise of The Defenders
.
