Brian Fretté has worked throughout the U.S. and around the world
choreographing for Ballet, Musicals, and Opera. Brian has choreographed
many shows for Zoo District, 'Metaluna', 'Two Character Play', 'Pathé X',
and 'The Lively Lad', to name a few, and has performed in 'Nosferatu',
'The Bloody Chamber' and ‘Home’. He also contributed choreography to
Zoo District’s recent production of ‘Home’. He has also choreographed for
The Met Theater, The Jewel Box Theater, Powerhouse Theater Company, as well as
the Los Angeles High School for the Performing Arts.
He has received a Garland Award for best choreography for his work in
the Zoo Districts’ production of ‘Nosferatu’, as well as an LA Weekly Theater Award
for his choreography in ‘The Master and Margarita’, also by Zoo District.
He has created ‘The BoyKing’, a 45-minute movement theater piece
for Zoo District’s children’s programing based on the life of Tutankhamen,
and is currently developing ‘The Defenders’, an evening-length spy show
based on the 60’s television show ‘The Avengers’.
